The only thing better than before is the detail on models - everything else is a massive step backwards. Everything brilliant about the first game has been absolutely butchered. The combat is slow and boring, the narration is bland and uninspired. Instead of exploring the dungeon, managing light, loot, formation and inventory, traveling instead takes the form of a monotonous cart-driving minigame, where you just have to bump into obstacles for a tiny chance at some reward. If they don't dramatically change design decisions and adjust how players can retain some form of base-building or progress between runs you should avoid this game at all costs. I am going to ignore the fact that it runs terribly and the UI is awful because it is early access. I actually enjoy the progression along the routes, but some of the design choices around the stress system are just terrible, its like the team completely lost sight of any nuance or depth.
